Microsoft Word - Newsletter
Microsoft Word is an easy to learn and easy to use word processing program. It enables students to refine and personalize their work. When utilizing this type of resource, one must be cognizant of and exhibit visual literacy principles. In other words, the document should be visually appealing with appropriate design elements. Using graphics is a great way to illustrate and visualize stories. This assignment required the development of a newsletter incorporating visual literacy principles. My newsletter was a communication tool with information from a teacher to the parents of an upcoming kindergarten class. While designing and developing this newsletter in Microsoft Word, I realized this technology tool promotes creativity, self-expression and individualized development.
