Google Forms - Online Quiz

Google Forms is a Google Docs Spreadsheet function used to create an online data gathering tool such as quizzes, tests, and surveys.  In addition, by downloading and installing Flubaroo from the education script gallery in Google Spreadsheets, online quizzes and tests can be assigned grades.  This was the technology I used to develop an online self-grading quiz.   As with Google Docs Spreadsheets, the document was created and stored on Google Docs; a public URL was created and shared (no sign-in required to view the document).  My online self-graded quiz was developed for kindergartners to assess their knowledge of the four seasons and correlating months and holidays. It included eight questions demonstrating four different question formats (for example, multiple choice and fill in the blank), Please click on the Online Quiz link below or the screen shot above to personally view my online quiz.  Also, to view the supporting data compiled by Flubaroo (student submissions per question and individual grades), please click the Spreadsheet link below.

Prior to this course, I would not have thought to use Google Forms for an online quiz.  I now realize this tool could easily be integrated into the curriculum and utilized as an assessment option.  It could be used to determine the knowledge level of students prior to the start of a new unit of study, during, and at the conclusion.  Implementing with Flubaroo makes it a convenient tool as well.
